Our setting

The retreat is located in the stunning Forgotten Corner of Cornwall, at a medieval manor on a private peninsula almost entirely encircled by the tidal River Lynher. This hidden gem offers breathtaking views of Dartmoor, Bodmin, and the nearby village of St Germans. The natural surroundings are part of a regenerative farm, with clean air and trees rich in lichen, creating a serene, nature-immersed retreat environment.

The land offers secret beaches for exploration at low tide, ideal for wild swimming and quiet moments of reflection. Private walking trails meander through the property, offering peaceful, secluded paths to reconnect with nature. You'll also have access to the South West Coastal Path and Whitsand Bay's expansive sandy beach, which is just a short drive away. Whether you prefer a cold-water dip in the river or gathering around a fireside with cacao, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the healing power of nature.

For those interested in exploring the wider area, nearby attractions include Dartmoor and Bodmin for scenic hikes, National Trust properties like Cotehele and Lanhydrock, and charming Cornish villages such as Polperro, Fowey, and Looe. Despite feeling wonderfully remote, the retreat is highly accessible with direct train links from London Paddington, Birmingham, and other major cities.

This blend of secluded tranquility and nearby attractions makes the Forgotten Corner an ideal location for deep rest, exploration, and renewal.
